SSC JE Exam Dates, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

*About SSC JE:


The Staff Selection Commission or SSC conducts the SSC JE Exam to recruit Junior Engineers. The exam conducts one in a year. It has two phase- Tier-I & Tier-2. Selected candidates will get the opportunities to work for Central Water Commission, Central Public Work Deperment, and Military Engineering Services etc.

*Important Dates:

  Ø  SSC JE Online Application:- 1st February, 2019 to 25th February 2019
  Ø  SSC JE Last Date of  Online Payment:- 27th February,2019
  Ø  SSC JE Last Date for Generating Challan:- 27th February,2019
  Ø  SSC JE Last Date of payment through Challan: 28th February, 2019
  Ø  SSC JE Exam Date Tier-I:- 23rd September to 27th September, 2019
  Ø  SSC JE Exam Date Tier-II:- 29th December 2019

*SSC JE APPLICATION FEE:

  Ø  Rs. 100/-
  Ø  Women Candidates and Candidates Belongs to SC/ ST/ PwD and Ex-Servicemen Eligible for Reservation and they do not have to pay the application fee.

*SSC JE ELIGIBILITY:

1. EDUCATION:

  Ø Candidates who have Degree or Diploma in Following Engineering from a                  recognized University or Institute are Eligible for this
o   Civil Engineering
o   Mechanical Engineering
o   Electrical Engineering

2. AGE LIMIT:

  Ø  Age Limit for SSC JE is up to 32 years as on 1st August, 2019. Although it is different by Departments.
  Ø  Age Relaxation:
o   SC/ST: 5 years
o   OBC : 3 years
o   PwD : 10 yeas
o   Ex-Serviceman: 3 years

PAPER-I (Objective Type):

  Ø  General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 Marks)
  Ø  General Awareness(50 Marks)
  Ø  Part A(Civil & Structural Engineering) or Part B(Electrical Engineering) or Part C(Mechanical Engineering) [100 Marks]
Duration: 2 hours

PAPER-II (DESCRIPTIVE TYPE):

  Ø  Part A(Civil & Structural Engineering) OR
  Ø  Part B(Electrical Engineering) OR
  Ø  Part C(Mechanical Engineering)

Marks: 300 and Duration: 2 hours
